Today was a cool fall day, so we decided to take a long walk, instead of a bike ride. Mom thought that it would be too cool. So we went to her favorite spot, and had a nice brisk walk. We didn't see ANY other dogs, and very few people walking/biking there. It feels really strange when the summer people leave. It's too quiet!

Another Day In The Park...
These are my friends, Ebony and Max. Ebony is such a gentle giant. She is a black and white/gray greyhound, who is a bit up there in age, but still gets around good. You could tell how much her Dad loves her by the look on both of there faces when we see them. They are truly 'Best Friends'. We met Ebony's Mom this past summer. She is a really nice, happy lady, who seemed to be quite taken with me. But isn't eveybody :)
Max is a dog I met at the dog park. I used to like playing with him, but we are never going there again, so I guess this will have to do. It was really nice seeing him. He is really easy going, soft and fun to play with. I hope I see him again.

Nothing Like A Nice Brisk Walk & Meeting New Friends :)

This is me with 'Elf' or Boo Boo (as his Mom & Dad calls him)

This is Princess. She is very sick, and may have to be put down soon. She is in my prayers:(
We just got back from our walk, and am I pooped! Mom thought I needed a coat because it was chilly out. We met some new friends. One was named Princess. She was a 10 year old Italian Greyhound. Her mom said that she thought that she was going to have to put her down today. She has cancer, and was not doing well with the treatments, so her mom took her off of them. You could see the lumps on her neck and side. They look like they hurt, but she seemed good tonight. We sniffed each other, and made friends immediately. My mom, told her mom, that she has a pretty red and white coat that she bought for Bonzai, but it doesn't fit, and she thinks Princess would look nice in it. We found out that they go to that park 3 times a day, so I'm sure we will run into them again. I hope Princess will be OK. Cancer seems to have no prejudice. Nobody is safe from it. We didn't see any deer tonight. Funny, because we usually always do. But we did meet another new friend. His name was Elf, or Boo Boo. He was an 8 year old black and white Shitzu. Mom took pics of them, so I could share with you. Now I am home and all tuckered out. I will sleep the rest of the night, and dream of what adventure I will go on tomorrow. Goodnight;)
I used to squat like a female dog does, in order to relieve myself. But after hanging out with my brother for so long, as you can see here, I like to lift my leg when I go potty. I learned that from my brother!

This is where I come to chill after our ride/walk. Mom lays in that big thing and gets all tan, while I sleep in my stroller and wonder why she does this.

These are the funny looking cars we saw at at the village we went to on our ride.

Here is where we stop to see the horses. hmmmm...I'm still trying to figure out what they are. Just like the things below. Those are the things that were falling out of the trees. They may look small in the picture, but they were pretty big!

Here my mom took a picture of me by the train.Too bad my big head got in the way. Ahhh...I think I am a bigger attraction than that silly old train. Don't you think?Today was a great day! The sun was shinning, but there was a slight breeze in the air, so we went on our bike ride. Some of the trails still were a bit wet from yesterday's rain, but we were careful. We started out, at around 10:30 AM. We did 20 miles, and saw allot of people. It's really funny how many people want to take pictures of me. I don't mind, because my mom says that I have a certain something that just seems to make people smile. Only 2 people took my picture today though. Maybe because mom was riding like she had somewhere to go. We usually stop a few times, but today we only stopped once so I could stretch my legs, and go potty.
We saw those 3 horses again. We stopped and mom took some pics, as you can see. The 2 of them must of had itchy backs, because they both were chewing on each others backs until they saw us. They didn't come over to see us though. So we only stayed for a few minutes.
We stopped at a little village that has a little train that takes kids and their parents on rides around the park. It's a pretty cool looking train, but I don't think dogs are allowed on. There were some pretty cool little cars in the parking lot too. I don't know why. Maybe there was a little people convention in the picnic area. But we didn't see them.
When we were riding, we got hit by some big picky things. We didn't know what they were, but my mom said they look like they were from something out of star trek?
When we were done with the ride, Mom and I went to the animal hospital to pick up my brother's eye drops. He has dry eye, and has to take drops 3 times a day. He has been taking them for over 10 years. Two years ago he went blind, and was not doing very well. He banged into things, and was always cutting himself up. Mom found a woman on line who made angel halo's, that went over his head. It acted as a bumper, so he wouldn't bang into things. But that didn't work so well.
The doctors say that dogs do well when they go blind, and that sight is our (dogs) 3rd sense. But my brother 'Bonzai' didn't agree. So when his Dr. told my mom about doing surgery to his one eye, giving him a 95% chance that he could restore the vision, she jumped at the chance!
When she went to pick him up, the Dr informed her that she shouldn't be discouraged, but Bonzai has not opened his eyes for him. Me and my mom stood in the office as the nurse brought him in to us, and my mom called out his name, and his eyes popped open, his tail started wagging, and he looked right at her. We all were so happy:)
After the animal hospital, we went to Hollywood Tan. This is one of my moms places she likes to go to relax. She always brings me in with her. She carries a dog stroller in her car, and I sleep in it while she tans. The owner of the salon found out that I was a dog this past summer. He laughed. He said for the past few years he always thought that I was a baby in that stroller, and wondered if I was ever going to grow up!
So, we had a long day. But a fun one! I am going to sleep good tonight!!!

Another Fun Day With Mom!!

Above is my new friend 'Hero' And Below is my friend Molly.

Mindy is the one wearing a scarf.

Today we got an early start to the day. Let me explain. My mom has this hobby of going to yard sales on the weekends. She finds all sort's of treasures, and re-sells them on Ebay. One of her recent finds was a book that she bought for .50, and sold to a woman in Germany for $135.00! You can't believe the things that people are looking for on Ebay. Some of the things she buys are too big to ship, and that cost's too much money, so she sells them elsewhere.
So, we started out around 9:00AM. This is usually late for us on a weekend. Mom says, 'the early bird catches the worm' when it comes to her yard sales. The weather men pretty much put the kibosh to the town wide yard sale day, scaring everyone from having their yard sales. Too bad, because it turned out really nice. It was actually pretty hot and humid. SO, we really didn't get much. She got a pair of mufflers , that came off of a 2003 Harley Davidson hog. They are pretty heavy, so she will probably list them on Craigslist. She also got me a really pretty pink, pearl and diamond necklace. The woman she bought it from bought it for her dog, but it was too big. So my mom bought it for $1.00! I don't want to say anything to mom, but I don't think the diamonds are real.
We met this dog named Mindy, at one yard sale. She was a mix breed. It had a Black Labs head, a Basset Hounds feet, and a Corgi's body! And some people say that 'I'm' funny looking? She was really nice though. Her owner adopted her when she was 6 months old. She was found on the NJ Turnpike, and lucky to be found alive. I guess the old owner's figured that someone would pick her up, but never stopped to realize that the chances of her getting killed were more in her favor. But by the grace of God, she was spared and given a second chance at a home where the people love her.
At another yard sale, we met Molly, a very sweet, very soft Cocker Spaniel. We had met one other time , at a dog park. She was fun to run with, and she was there when I got attacked by a Chihuahua. I got bit really hard on my back, and it almost pierced through my skin. My mom was upset and told the owners that the dog did not belong there with this type of aggression. SO, they left. But mom said that she is never taking me back there again. It's OK. I wont miss it. All I ever did there was break up fights anyway. It was exhausting!
But it WAS nice to see Molly again. I met her mom, and she really liked me. Molly was at the dog park with her Dad. He was really nice, and was concerned about the bite I got too. He was happy to see me today, and was happy the bite marks left no scar's.
After 2 hours, we decided to give up on the search for our treasures and take a nice long walk at the park. There were allot of soccer games going on, but not many people walking. But we did meet up with 'Hero', a 5 year old Shitzu mix. His dad was taking him for his first walk. Well, his first walk since they adopted him, at the ASPCA yesterday. He seemed like a nice dog, and his dad looked so proud to walk him. I think he will be happy at his new home.
I'm tired now, so I will probably sleep the rest of the afternoon. Tomorrow looks like it's going to be nice. Mom say's we will go on our bike ride for sure! I can't wait:)

Brrrr, it's a little chilly out today. I'm sure my mom will be putting on one of my warm little outfits to wear. Because we will be taking a nice long walk later today. It's too chilly for a bike ride. But I think we will get more rides in, before the really cold weather hits. I sure will miss it, when we have to put the bike away for the winter. I had such fun riding all summer!

Here I Am Catching Some Ray's. I Love The Warm Sun. Too Bad It Will Be Getting Cold Soon. I Like The Clothes That Mom Put's On Me, But I Would Rather Be Neked:) Soon My Tan Will Start To Fade And I Will Be A Dull Gray Color...But I Will Alway's Be Cute!Today my Mom took me for a walk along the beach. I like it there, but I get a little frightened when loud trucks go by. There really big and remind me of the monsters I see in my dreams. Mom usually wakes me when I'm having those types of dreams. She know's because my legs start to run, and I cry in my sleep.
As always, we were stopped by many people along our walk, who would ask what breed I am, and my name. One woman said to my mom, "didn't I see you riding your bike the other day with Adorabelle in the basket", and my mom told her "yes". The woman said " thank you, when I saw her she made me smile, and made my day". THAT is the reason my Mom decided to help me with this blog. She say's, since I seem to make so many people smile and happy when they see me, maybe they would like to see more of me :)
